Traditional festivals
This table is the traditional calendar day of each festival, not a given year’s public-holiday list. A place may close for only some of these days, or move the day off to a weekend. Qingming and the winter solstice follow solar terms, so the Gregorian date shifts by a day or two. New Year’s Eve is the last day of the twelfth lunar month, the 29th in some years and the 30th in others. The Little New Year is the 23rd or the 24th depending on the place, so it is not given a single row.
